Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada (PTAC) is now collecting abstracts for the 2026 Joint Well Integrity and Decommissioning Forum hosted by PTAC and the PACE (Plugging & Abandonment Collaborative Environment) network in collaboration with The University of British Columbia.
Taking place on November 16 and 17, 2026, at the University of Calgary Downtown Campus in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the forum will bring together producers, researchers, technology
developers, service providers, and regulators from around the world to share practical solutions for well integrity, decommissioning, and closure.
Abstracts are invited from operators, service providers, researchers, technology developers, and regulators that showcase practical experience, research findings, case studies, and innovative technologies. Key areas include the scale and legacy challenge, cost-effective execution at scale, and barrier integrity and verification.
Abstracts should be 500 words or fewer and clearly describe the issue addressed, the approach used, the results gained, and the practical value for well integrity, decommissioning, or closure.
The submission deadline is September 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. (MST).
Submit an abstract using the Joint Well Integrity and Decommissioning Forum Call for Abstracts form.
