Canadian Capabilities in Clean Technology

Cleaner technology solutions are essential to reducing environmental impacts and advancing global climate goals in the oil and gas sector. Advanced technologies help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly methane, while improving efficiency, mitigating risk, and supporting sustainable energy production. Clean technology investment also delivers economic benefits, including cost savings, new market opportunities, and greater competitiveness.

Canadian innovators are global leaders in practical, cost-effective clean technologies, including methane reduction, carbon capture and storage, well repurposing, hydrogen integration, offshore technologies, and environmental management. Developed with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, the following guides and directories share Canada’s expertise and support sustainable growth and emissions reduction at home and abroad.

The six guides and company directories comprise the following categories:

Solutions addressing upstream and midstream methane emissions

Canadian capabilities in assessing and implementing CCS projects

Technologies for land, water, and ecosystem protection

Repurposing and responsible closure of oil and gas wells

Cleaner solutions for offshore operations in harsh environments
Lower-carbon fuel options and hydrogen integration
