The AUPRF Remediation, Reclamation & Ecological Research Forum brought together more than 60 environmental leaders for a day of thought-provoking conversations on the future of environmental research in Alberta’s upstream energy sector. From reclamation and ecological restoration to AI, remote sensing, and soil health, the presentations showcased the depth of innovation happening across the industry. What tied it all together was a shared understanding that the biggest issues and opportunities are best tackled together. The discussions illustrated the value of connecting research across disciplines, making smarter use of shared data and resources, and strengthening partnerships between industry, researchers, and regulators.
