Ayo Giwa is a seasoned Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with extensive expertise in sustainable energy technologies, process engineering, and industrial decarbonization strategies. Ayo is at the forefront of advancing Catalytic Membrane Reactor (CMR) technology, a transformative solution for sustainable syngas production, clean hydrogen generation, and carbon dioxide utilization. His work focuses on integrating cutting-edge technologies to address global sustainability challenges, including greenhouse gas mitigation, energy efficiency, and industrial decarbonization.
As a key leader at McAlpha Inc., Ayo is spearheading collaborations with industry and academia, including a strategic partnership with Robert Gordon University (RGU). This collaboration explores the capabilities of CMR technology in syngas production, building on groundbreaking research funded by Net Zero Technology Center, Aberdeen, Scotland.
Ayo is currently managing high-impact projects, including the utilization of produced water, wastewater and vinasse for green ammonia production and initiatives leveraging waste-to-value technologies. He is skilled in securing funding and partnerships to scale innovative technologies, aligning with global sustainability goals.
Ayo is also actively involved in developing National Occupational Standards for the oil and gas industry in Nigeria and is passionate about enabling a circular economy through renewable energy solutions.
