AUPRF Support Letter | AUPRF One-Pager | AER Bulletin |
The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) has issued its Administration Fee (Industry Levy) invoices for the 2025-26 fiscal year. Included in those invoices is a request supported by industry and government to fund the Alberta Upstream Petroleum Research Fund (AUPRF), a program managed by PTAC that supports industry-led research on key environmental challenges.
AUPRF plays a vital role in advancing clean technology, emissions reduction, well closure strategies, and land remediation. By funding critical research, the program helps improve business efficiency, reduce costs, and support the development of smart regulations that benefit both industry and the environment.
A Letter of Support has been jointly-issued by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, the Explorers and Producers Association of Canada, Alberta Energy and Minerals, and Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, highlighting the value of the program and encouraging Alberta’s operators to support AUPRF through their contributions to the Industry Levy.
