There was great energy at the CanCH4 Symposium in Ottawa on May 8, 2025. PTAC’s CTO, Marc Godin, participated in an impactful Lightning Talk.
On Day 2, in Session 5, a strong message emerged that Canada and Alberta have achieved significant real methane emissions reductions, around 50%. This impressive accomplishment results from strategic investments in technological innovation, including initiatives like CanERIC, over the past five years.
Looking ahead, there is an opportunity to leverage this knowledge, technologies, and Canadian expertise to transfer these innovations to other regions globally where substantial methane emissions are still occurring.
