PTAC congratulates Prabhu Energy Alberta Ltd. on securing $3 million in funding through Natural Resources Canada’s Energy Innovation Program for its Oxiperator: Reducing Methane Emissions From Lean-Burn Engines project. The funding was announced on July 4 as part of a federal investment of more than $26 million supporting 17 clean energy projects across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The Oxiperator technology is designed to eliminate methane and volatile organic compounds from stationary combustion engines used in the upstream oil and gas sector. The catalyst-free, retrofit-ready system offers operators a practical and scalable solution to reduce emissions while minimizing operational disruption.
PTAC is proud to have supported Prabhu Energy through the development of its funding proposal, providing strategic guidance and facilitating connections with industry partners and potential end users. This funding announcement is a strong example of how collaboration and targeted support can help Canadian innovators advance promising technologies toward commercialization.
As Canada’s collaborative energy innovation hub, PTAC remains committed to helping innovators navigate the path from concept to commercialization, advancing technologies that improve environmental performance while supporting a competitive and sustainable energy sector.
