Executive Summary

Feasibility study for developing high-level concepts for the capture/destruction of vented methane during planned and unplanned blowdown events at compressor stations. This report investigates practical compressor station modifications in Canada’s gas natural gas transmission industry which can be implemented to eliminate or reduce methane emissions during planned and unplanned gas blowdown events in order to achieve Environment and Climate Change Canada’s (ECCC) objectives under its proposed regulatory framework for reducing oil and gas methane emissions.
